First launch

The first time you open Cora, a short welcome flow walks you through setup. Here's what to expect.

Permission prompts

Depending on your platform, Cora may ask for the following permissions:

• Notifications — so Cora can alert you to new mail.
• Contacts (optional) — to suggest recipients when composing.
• Biometrics / device lock (optional) — to enable app unlock with fingerprint or face recognition.

You can grant or skip these and change them later in your device's system settings.

Add your first account

After the welcome screens, you'll be prompted to sign in or create a Cora account, then add your first email account. See Creating or signing into an account and Which account type do I need? for guidance.
